Pictures

So my Aunt Joanne is asking for me to post some pictures. Well here's the story. First of all the internet's not working at our house and I con't post pictures from work or the library. Second of all, the battery in our good camera is dead and the charger was in the backpack that was stolen out of our car. So there's the explanation. We've ordered a new charger and I'm praying that when Michael comes home next week, he'll be able to fix the internet. We have some great pictures from Vienna that I would love to post.

So for now, you're going to have to deal with just writing for the time being. Michael comes home in 6 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing new to report!!

Well there's nothing new going on here. Saturday my friend Tammy and I went to Nove to get some ceramics. I bought $225 worth of beautiful things and just shipped them all to my parents this afternoon. Then we went to Vo to the winery and picked up a few things. Yesterday I spent a lazy day at home. Just did a bit of cleaning and some laundry...but nothing exciting.

Michael comes home in 9 days!!! I'm so excited for that. So that's about all the excitement here. Hope all is well with each of you.

Katie's Top 10

In the spirit of David Letterman, which we don't get on our Military TV frequently, I thought I'd do a Top Ten of reasons why Michael should come home now.

10. There's no one to cook for. I find no reason to cook a big meal for myself.
9. The cat doesn't talk to me.
8. I needed a cuddle when I was sick. And someone to wait on me hand & foot!! :)
7. There's no one to play games with at night.
6. It's no fun cleaning by yourself.
5. I've been eating lunch by myself, if I actually eat any at all.
4. I don't know if the car insurance bill that came needs to be paid or not. (if you read this babe...i have no idea)
3. I haven't started his car since he left because I'm too scared to do it.
2. The internet's not working at all and I don't know how to fix it.
AND
1. I'm LONELY!!!

OK, I know I'm a cheeseball and some of you really don't care about all this, but he's checking this every so often. Hope all is well with each of you.

Some can sympathize

It's not that I'm asking for any sympathy, but I know a few of you can sympathize with what I'm about to say. So this weekend I spent it on the couch. I woke up at around 230 am on Saturday already not ready to face the wee early hours of the morning, but I had the starts of some body aches. I fell back to sleep only to wake up at 730 am with my entire body hurting from head to toe. Now my friend Tammy had booked us hair appointments for the afternoon so I knew I had to feel better. I went and got my hair done, went to the commissary to get some cereal, went home, and collapsed on the couch. You see I had the flu! Yes, the flu. Everything hurt. I called my mom later that evening and asked her to get on a plane to come and take care of me. This is where some of you can sypathize with me. You know how it is when you're sick. All you want is someone to cuddle you, bring you drinks, and just take care of you. My mom gave the best cuddles all the time, but they were even better when I was sick. Michael wasn't even here to take care of me. The cat just looked at me like I was crazy to ask him for a drink. And on top of that I was whiny.

So for those of you who are far from your mom, or have ever been far from your mom, you know how I feel. So mom, thanks for all the cuddles!!!! I really could've used one on Saturday.

In case you care, I'm feeling way better.

Pray for me!

Could you please pray for me? I'm mulling over in my brain how I could maybe come back to the states for the whole deployment. There's alot of issues since we've moved into private rental and we couldn't afford to pay the Euro ourselves. I haven't really even talked with Michael about it yet. I'm just nervous because my entire support system is with you guys at home and I know that I've got some friends here, but I'd really like to be with all of you.

The deployment is a MINIMUM of 12 months, but it could and most likely would go longer. That's another reason why I'd like to be stateside. Just pray that God will direct me and settle me. Not really sure what to do.

Wierd Moment!!

So I'm driving to work this morning and i'm leaving the community that we live in and as I turn the corner there's this man walking down the street playing the accordian. I thought to myself, wierd, but it's Italy. Anyway, he gave me the headnod and i nodded back. But as I was watching him I noticed that he was looking up and down at the complexes he was walking past. I drove through the gate and saw my friend Adam that I work with and honked at hime to give him a ride. So I told him what happened and he said, "Well, don't be surprised if there's some break-ins that happen". I thought back to what the man looked like and he looked like a gypsy to me. Well, I guess my car will be parked behind the building for the next few night, but I've got to get Michael's car back there too.

It's sad that the first thing you think of when you see a strange sight like that is will he break into my car??? You just never really see something like that happen in the states. Could you imagine someone walking down your street playing an accordian for no apparent reason?? It reminds me of my old street in Bloomfield - people would've been outside yelling at him, or the cops would've turned up!

I won't worry too much, I've ot protection at home in the body of a cat named Stud - or as I call him Studley and Michael calls him Studabaker. Family of Michael I know he's highly allergic - it was all his idea since I wouldn't let him get a dog at this moment. That has to wait until we leave the military. He thinks it's a good thing to keep me company when he's gone. Well it's working, but he's somewhat paying for it with the watery eyes, runny nose, wheezing, etc. You know how he is, once he gets an idea in his head, there's really no stopping him. I'll post pics of Studley as soon as i can.

Have a great day!!!!

Michael's Away

So Michael's away for the month of March. Actually I have no idea when he's coming back. Some time the first week of April supposedly....i'm hoping for it to be earlier. We're moved in and will hopefully have internet this weekend. I'll take some pictures of the new place and new furniture that we got so that you all can see it.

I'm doing well. Work is keeping me so crazy busy it's nuts. I spent the weekend catching up on some much needed rest and laundry. The weather is absolutely beautiful here right now. It feels like spring, which means the kids are a little bit rowdier. I'm spending 8 hours a day with toddlers so of course I'm completely wasted when I get home.

Hope all is well with each of you. I'm still counting down the days to come home for a visit. So looking forward to see each one of you.
