Camp has started!!!

Well friends, camp has officially started. Today 181 Music & Creative Arts kids arrived for a week of music and art. It should be fun. Registration went well. I've got to do a WalMart fun for underwear and other goodies that children don't have.

Other than that, things are well here. I have internet in my office so hopefully i'll be able to update every once in a while. Haven't heard from Michael in 2 weeks, so I don't really have any updates for you.

Few and far between blogs

So friends, since my last post things have gotten better. I am working at Star Lake Camp for the summer as the caseworker. Now all I need to do is to find something for after camp. God will provide though. Michael and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary last Sunday and then my birthday on Monday. We were able to talk for a few minutes before his end of the line was cut off. Keep him in your prayers and for more info on that check out his blog.

My posts will be few as getting to a computer with internet will be hard. I'm actually supposed to be doing some work, but I thought I'd sneak on the Program Director's computer to check my email. Shhh don't tell Baron!

Things are going well here. Please keep me in your prayers as I did not get the job at THQ so I'm not sure what I will be doing yet. I'm praying that God has something else in store for me, I'm just trying to be patient. As of right now patience is not my strong suit.

Michael is doing well. I talked with him last week. He's lost 20 pounds since he's been there. Not particularly the best diet, but he's received rations thanks to Alison!! Our 1 year anniversary is on Sunday and I turn 30 on Monday! EEKK!!! I can't believe it's already been a year. It's been exciting, difficult, and definitely a learning experience. But I've been experiencing such wonderful things with a wonderful man!!!

Pray for Michael

Hey Friends!!! I'm writing to ask for prayer for Michael. I received a phone call yesterday right when I got to the Montclair Corps. There had been a confruntation with his company - not sure of all the details - but Michael is fine. There were 7 injuries and 1 death. Please pray for the family of the soldier who passed. I don't have any names or any other information. Please just pray for Michael and his company. We thought that he'd be in a safe area, but I guess things can change so fast over there.
