Our Journey Through Infertility.....

Better late than never....

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, but it's been a bit busy and hectic in the Honsberger house.  I've posted pictures of the house packed when the movers were here last week.  Our house feels so empty and it echoes in the living room.  I'm so grateful that the day went so smoothly....I actually got compliments from the movers and transportation lady on my organization.

Poor Stud had to spend the day outside.  He wasn't to happy about that, but Michael was able to come home for a bit and spent some time with him outside.

The living room almost completely packed.  All I had to do was stand around and watch, which was quite annoying.

They actually have bubblewrap for couches!  Quite amazing.

Our kitchen all packed up.  It's the only room in the house at the moment with furniture in it.

This is the front bedroom that we actually used as storage.  Before the movers came it became the place where we would put things as we went through them.  Made it much easier for the movers.

We are headed to Paris next weekend for our anniversary.  Our actual anniversary is in June but we seem to only be able to celebrate it in October.  I'm so excited to see Paris.  I've always wanted to go there.

We are slowly realizing what little time we have left in Italy.  I'm getting quite excited for North Carolina, but Michael on the other hand isn't ready to leave Europe yet.  I think he will have the hardest time adjusting to being back stateside.  He hasn't actually lived in the states for almost 6 years, so this will be a shock to him.

So we're doing great.  I promise to post more.  Keep us in your prayers as we're winding down here.

Until next time....

Well my friends, moving day is fast approaching.  There was a walk-through today in our apartment for the company to see how much furniture we have.  I met with a friend of mine today who has moved 13 times.  She gave me some great tips and ideas.  After meeting with Stacey, Michael and I realized that we won't be spending the whole 4 day weekend working on getting ourselves prepared.  I'm quite excited for this because the weather for this weekend is supposed to be beautiful here this weekend and I'd like to get to see Lake Garda before we leave.

I'm a bit more relaxed now and excited for what's next.  I'll be taking pictures while the movers are here - before and after shots.  Our apartment will be quite empty.

Hope all's well with each of you.....we miss you all and can't wait to be closer.

Until next time....

So long kitchen table....

This week we said farewell to our kitchen table and 2 chairs. I loved this table, but with our move coming up we couldn't take it. And speaking about our move, on October 16th the movers come to take almost everything in our house. We've been making appointments for terminating our housing, arranging to ship our car, and pack up our house. It'll take about 2 months for all of our "stuff" to arrive in the states by ship, our car will take about 40 days, and then the rest of our stuff will take about 3 weeks. It's all a little nerve-wracking.

Michael and I are going to start taking pictures and organizing our things starting next week. It's a good thing we don't have all that much, but our house will certainly be empty. I've also already started looking for a job when we get to the states. I'm hoping to continue with the job I presently have, as a tutor at the Middle & High School on post. I'm going to miss the kids and the ladies I work with. This past week, one of the juniors asked me to help her with her Pre-Calculus work....so I've been attending her class so that I know what she's learning and can take my own notes. I actually got some homework to do....it's been a long time since I've done College Algebra so I'm getting some help from Michael.

We hope you're all doing well. We only have 51 days left here. It's so hard to believe. Michael's going to miss Europe very much since he's spent 5 years here, but we know we're going to have a good time in North Carolina too.

Until next time....
