Our Journey Through Infertility.....

There's cages around post today. Ok they're not necessarily cages but movable fences surrounding our building. There's a big concert here on Monday night and they're opening post to the Italians for the festivities on Tuesday. I feel like i'm in the zoo right now, all caged up in the barracks!! Just Kidding!

Michael found out today that our Command Sponsorship is almost done which is a good thing since we just handed it in on Monday. Normally it takes about 2 weeks for anything to happen. This is a good things because we can start looking for a house. We're hoping everything will be done for next week.

We had an awesome rain storm yesterday which brought the temp down about 15 degrees, but alas it way back up again today. It was nice while it lasted. But during that storm Michael was supposed to be jumping. A blackhawk got flipped over during the storm so he didn't get to jump until about 8pm. So then he didn't get home until midnight, but by then I was wide awake and wanted to chat. The poor guy was so exhausted but he let me chat away about my day and the best 2 phone calls in the world - thank you mom and Alison!!! :)

Tomorrow we're off to Florence very early and then Sunday we're off to San Marino so I won't be posting for a few days. I'll let you know what we see and when I can, I'll post some pics (just for you Caryn!!!!)

Until then, have a great weekend. We both love and miss you all so much. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers on a daily basis!!!!

Luv ya!!!! KT:)

For some strange reason I only have a few minutes left on this computer, so this will be a brief one. Thank you for posting comments!! It makes me feel closer to home. I had an interesting day yesterday. It was the longest day of my life. Michael was gone for 15 hours doing 2 jumps, so it was a lonely day. Please pray for me and those lonely days.

But for some good news, I am volunteering with the Family Advocacy Program here on base. It's all very interesting, but thanks to the good training of Suzanne I may have a part-time job doing event planning for families on base. That all depends on whether the hiring freeze lets up. At least it's giving me something to do.

I think I have a a minute left, but I will post something longer tomorrow. I miss and love you all.

So lets see.......I got out of bed at 1pm today - yes, I'm still not sleeping through the night even with the aide of Tylenol PM. I spent an hour in the clinic, and then walked over to the library to type this post. Then I'm headed to the commissary, with my ID this time, to get something for dinner. Michael's away on a jump so he'll be home late tonight.

When I finally got out of bed this morning, there were 2 maps and 6 euro on the desk for me with a note basically saying, "Here's bus fare, go exploring if you're up to it". I looked at the maps, looked at what time it was, and decided there's no way in heck i'm getting lost without Michael with me. So I decided to wait on the touring trip. We are going to Florence and San Marino this weekend, so have no fear Caryn I'll take lots of pics and post them as soon as I can.

That's about all the excitement for me. I'm physically exhausted and doing alot of walking so when I come home in July for a week, I'll need to do some major shopping!!!

Love to you all!!! Ciao! KT:)

So, I've arrived in Italy to an airconditioned barracks, and I've made my first military wife mistake. Michael took me to the Commissary (grocery store) and I didn't have my ID with me. I felt like I got sent to the principal's office. The lady made me sit in the front of the store on a picnic bench. I've now learned the importance of carrying it with me at all times. Oh Well!!! You learn from your mistakes.

The weather here is brutal right now. Not every building has airconditioning either. So as I type to you I'm sitting in the USO building enjoying the coolness of air!!! We'll be looking for housing soon. Supposedly government housing has air conditioning so that's what I'm opting for.

I'm missing home, but I know that you're praying for me as I'm away from all that I love. Michael is being very supportive and handed over his phone card to me. I'm hoping to call home again on Wednesday.

So here's my official first post. Thanks to Mhairi for setting this all up for me. I love you all and please post comments.

Love to you all!!!!! KT:)

Welcome to my blog!

This is the first entry to my life in Italy. (However, I'm not yet in Italy, I fly tomorrow with my handsome soldier of a husband!)

I'll be writing more when I arrive in Italy, maybe even some in Italian!
