What a day....

Today was a blessing. But I'll start with yesterday. I started to watch my friend Tammy's wee one, Kyle. She's gone back to work part-time so I'm at her house from 7:00 am to around 1:00pm. He turned 9 weeks today. I'll take some pictures of him tomorrow so that you can see him.

The theme this year for Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) is Prepare for the Bridegroom. We had a guest speaker today named Amy Stevens. She is a chaplains daughter who does speaking not just in the military world, but elsewhere. She spoke on the theme for the year. She was amazing. It was amazing how she put into retrospect being a military wife. By the end of her speaking, women were on their knees, weeping, and just praising the Lord. It was definitely a blessing. I could not get on my knees in worship due to feeding Kyle, but I was able to worship right in my seat and just soak it all in.

I'm grateful for this wonderful community of women. I'm also grateful for being able to get back involved with PWOC.

To change the subject a bit, my brother called me yesterday a bit confused about my last post. Michael did not re-enlist to stay in Afghanistan an extra 5 months. He extended his, I guess you could say 'contract', an extra 5 months into 2012. Sorry if there was any confusion.

Until next time.....

Michael's Re-Enlistment

Michael called yesterday to talk about re-enlistment. He wanted to see how I felt about it. He said it would only extend him another 5 months, but there wasn't a bonus attached. The good thing is we will definitely be moving to Ft. Bragg, NC, the end of the year. Here are pictures that were sent to me. I didn't realize it would be happening right away, but that's the Army for you.

Things are going well here. I'm starting to babysit for my friend Tammy next week. The weather can't make up it's mind on Spring or Winter, but thank God no snow!!!!

I'm Back!!!

Now I know some of you have been a bit worried about me, Kathy R. I'm talking about you, but I haven't had internet or a land line in the house since I got back 4 weeks ago. Which means I haven't spoken to Michael either in that time. It is great to be home. I barely made my flight in Germany, Stud cried the whole way here, and I didn't sleep at all due to a drunk rock band sitting in front of me.

I've already had a visitor. My friend Donna came and spent 8 days here. We went on a trip to Parma and say cheese being made, went to Venice and the water level was really low, went to the ceramics store and purse factory (of course), and just hung out. I had only been here for 4 days when she came so I was still a bit jet lagged.

Not much else going on. I'm getting involved in PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel). I will post more soon. Hope that all is well with each of you. Keep us in your prayers. Michael should be back in 5 months.

Love you all!!!
