Moved!!

Let me tell you....I can't wait for our move back to the states since the Army will do it for us. I won't have to pack or unpack a box. But as for this move to our new place, we did it all by ourselves. And it's still going on. Saturday I'm going to clean our old place...but there are still things to unpack in our new place.

Other than that, I'm pricing tickets for our flight home!!! 57 more days to go!! We've already put our order in for dinner for Friday night!!! Get that grill fired up Dad!

Nothing else exciting going on. We don't have internet as of yet in the new place, so I can't post pics up. I'm blogging and checking email at work, which is a no-no. Miss you all and can't wait to see you!!!!

Wifely Duties!!

So we packed for 2 hours tonight. But the fun didn't start until around 845 when we proceeded to watch...ok people get this....Fievel Goes West. Yes friends, I said Fievel Goes West. You see, Michael says this one line to me when he wants to getg on my nerves...it's "My Darling Baby Bubby Bunker Boo". Of course I proceeded to look at Amazon.com to see if I could by it for him. So for Valentine's Day he got An American Tail and Fievel Goes West. So I'm sitting here typing away as Michael is watching and saying most of the lines to the movie. I'm assuming this is his mother's fault. He's such a child sometimes....or is that a child at heart...i have no idea. Anyway, I remember seeing An American Tail when it came out in the theatre because it's probably one of the only movies my mom took us to see. So would you call this "wifely duties"?? I'm going to assume so.

Well, on to adult things.....we've packed the guest room and living room tonight. Tomorrow we're moving all our personal furniture and some government issued to the new apartment. We're also going to drop off some boxes. The landlady is sending a cleaning person over, so it'll be ready for us to live in next week. Appliances are being delivered Tuesday morning and then we've got to do some major grocery shopping that night.

So that's about it. We love and miss you all. Only 61 more days left until vacation. By the way, Michael is now laughing at the movie as it's playing. Oh my, what's a girl to do!!!!

Going against the rules!

What a surprise!!! I'm going against the rules and posting at work. The kids are taking their naps.....wish I could take one too....and i'm alone in the classroom. The lead teacher is at a meeting for an hour so they're letting me be alone. Yesterday the parents came to have lunch with their kids for Valentine's Day. Mom, we used the napkins you sent!!!

Anyway, things are well here. We've been super busy. Michael's trip this week was cancelled, but his rotation to Germany is still on. We're not sure when he's leaving as of yet. They keep changing the date. The good news is, block leave in April is a definite so I'll be getting out tickets in March. So people, keep your calendars open for April 20th to May 3rd. With so many people to visit, we hope to get to you all.

We had a great Valentine's Day yesterday. Michael brought me a flower to work....a single gerbera daisy....then we picked up a movie and pizza, and just relaxed. We're moving this weekend to our new place. Our phone number will be changing so I'll get it to you for those who need it. Also, we won't have internet for a week or two, but when it's up, I'll post pics of the new place.

Other than that, all is well. We're just crazy busy. I've now been changed from a flex shift to part time, so i'll be working in the afternoons instead of all day long. Kids are exhausting!!! It makes me jealous when they're sleeping!! Suzanne, I would've worked better with a nap after lunch!!!!!!

We hope all is well with each of you. We love and miss you loads!!! Let the countdown begin to vacation in April......63 more days!!!

What a weekend!!

Michael surprised me and took me to Vienna, Austria, for the weekend. Here we are outside one of the homes of the royalty that once ruled Austria. This is such a beautiful city. Besides being really cold, it was very very windy. We stayed in a boarding house on one of the main shopping districts. We also went to Stephandom's Cathedral and caught the end of mass in German.

Here's Michael outside the Opera house. It is a beautiful building. We were hoping to catch the opera that night because if you stand for half of the show you can see it for free. Unfortunately, or fortunately for me, we had a longer dinner than anticipated and missed it. Michael will be away for Valentine's Day, so we ate dinner at the Central Cafe that is a well known landmark in Vienna.

I have more pictures to post, but I promise to post a few more tomorrow. I've been working 40 hour weeks and have gotten nothing done at home. Kids are exhausting and they're not even my own. By the way, my grandmother has a blog.... http://winniewahine.blogspot.com/, drop by and visit her. I promise grandma that I'll get there and leave a comment for you!!! Sorry i haven't done so sooner.

Hope all is well with each of you. We're looking forward for our trip home in April!!!!

Held a Gun

For the first time in my life, I held a gun. I never thought I'd hold one, and never really wanted to. I was in Michael's office during lunch today and his friend is in charge of the company's arms room. He was giving some weapons out and was working on an M9 baretta when he came into the office and said here, hold this. Of course it was not loaded people, don't start freaking out. So I held it feeling completely uncomfortable. Then he brought in an M16 with all the gadgets, and I had no desire to hold that one. It was very wierd to actually hold something with all that power. I don't ever want to hold one again. And on top of that, it was even scarier seeing Michael hold it in person. So don't worry, I will never do that again.

All is well here. Michael is taking me away this weekend. He's not telling me where we're going, but there's a Starbucks there. Of course I'm excited about that. Will post pics when we come back on Monday. We're going to look at new apartments tomorrow on the Italian economy. We're keeping our options open since we can't move to the family housing area.

Hope all is well with each of you. Until next time.....
