What a day....
Today was a blessing. But I'll start with yesterday. I started to watch my friend Tammy's wee one, Kyle. She's gone back to work part-time so I'm at her house from 7:00 am to around 1:00pm. He turned 9 weeks today. I'll take some pictures of him tomorrow so that you can see him.
The theme this year for Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) is Prepare for the Bridegroom. We had a guest speaker today named Amy Stevens. She is a chaplains daughter who does speaking not just in the military world, but elsewhere. She spoke on the theme for the year. She was amazing. It was amazing how she put into retrospect being a military wife. By the end of her speaking, women were on their knees, weeping, and just praising the Lord. It was definitely a blessing. I could not get on my knees in worship due to feeding Kyle, but I was able to worship right in my seat and just soak it all in.
I'm grateful for this wonderful community of women. I'm also grateful for being able to get back involved with PWOC.
To change the subject a bit, my brother called me yesterday a bit confused about my last post. Michael did not re-enlist to stay in Afghanistan an extra 5 months. He extended his, I guess you could say 'contract', an extra 5 months into 2012. Sorry if there was any confusion.
Until next time.....
