Not much here....

I know it's been a while, but there's really not much going on here.  I've been keeping really busy. I had been asked to be the battalion treasurer so that's keeping me busy.  I've also been volunteering with the Family Readiness Support Assistant.  She asked me to help set up a database of all married and single soldiers with their next of kin information for the upcoming deployment.  I'm having a great time with it and I get the opportunity to see Michael at work, which is always nice.  On top of that I am the Ball Decorating Committee Chairperson, so that's another thing that keeps me busy.  I am working on my Substitute Teaching packet for Cumberland County.  I'm hoping to do that during the next school year.

Speaking of Michael, he is doing well.  This week he has been away at a medic training with some of the younger soldiers.  They come back sometime tomorrow.  His Officer's Candidate School packet is officially going up the chain of command, which is awesome.  He's hoping for a school date for sometime in 2010.  He spent about 35 days at Ft Polk, LA, for pre-deployment training.  It was a long 35 days.

We're excited for our upcoming vacation.  We've been alloted June 26-July 12 for vacation.  We will be going on a cruise with my parents, grands, and Andrew & Patti.  We're so excited for it.

Michael is still deploying sometime at the end of the summer.  We don't have an exact date, which we know we won't get.
